Bag Packing for Fund-rasing |
2007 is a BIG year for Scouting.... but it comes at a BIG cost.So that we can continue to provide the equipemnt for camping, and subsidise the cost of events such as the Centenary Camp, we need to raise some money.
This is where you come in!2nd Bramley has organised two fundraising events, with one at Morrisons, Kirkstall and the other at Pudsey ASDA.
What do you need to do?
- You need only help out for two hours on each of the dates, either 10-12 or 12-2.
- Come in full uniform prepared to pack bags for customers.
If you are taking part in the 2007 activities, especially the Centenary Camp, you should be taking part in the fundraising as part of the money raised will go towards subsidising your camping trip.
Parents
- Please encourage your child to get involved.
- Return the consent form to Sue the Scout Leader on or before Friday 16th March, indicating which session your child will be involved in.
On the day
- Arrive 15 minutes early
- Pick your child up at the end of the session punctually
- Feel free to stay and help out if you want!
- Lunch will be provided for both sessions from 11:45, please ensure you indicate any allergies your child may have regarding food or if they have special dietary needs. We will try to accommodate everyone but as we are going to be eating in the supermarket cafe, it will depends on the selection available as to what your child can have to eat.

May 2007 Camp Cost Reduction |
We realise that the cost of the activities in 2007 is very high and that it will be impossible for everyone to attend every event. However, we feel it is really important that as many people as possible attend the Centenary Camp as this is a huge county event and a chance to meet hundreds of other young people from around Yorkshire.
We are delighted to tell you therefore that following a successful bid for funding from Stanningley Charity, we can offer a further 25% descount for our youth members.
The cost to youth member camping is reduced to
- £30 for each youth member
- £22.50 for the second youth member in a family
- £15 for a third and subsequent youth member in a family.
- The cost for Beavers is reduced to £7.50
Forms need to be filled in and a deposit paid before Christmas. If you want to pay by installments that is fine, see your section leader for a card. Again, the deadline for forms and payments must be stuck to or your child may miss out.
Money should be handed to your section leader who will then pass it on to the treasurer. Please make sure you indicate on your booking form if siblings are also going on the camp.
If any family needs to discuss the financial side of this camp further, please contact your section leader. |
